Who we are

Lucy Lamont

Brings the educational know-how to our websites. Her wide range of personal and professional experiences are the inspiration behind the wealth of practical information, resources and fun solution ideas.

She came into the world of teaching and education later in her life (a far cry from the world of accounting) when she successfully completed a MSc module focusing on teaching dyslexics to support her two dyslexic daughters, a family trait Lucy shares with them, more effectively at home and on a voluntary basis in their school.

Later, as a teacher, she taught all levels of Primary School from Foundation Stage – Reception through to Year 6 across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire and used her experience of supporting children with Specific Learning Difficulties in Key Stage 1 and 2 to provide fully differentiated teaching.

Lucy now designs and delivers the in-school training courses, writes our weekly blogs, supports the evolution of the Teach Handwriting and Teach Phonics websites and supports the parents and schools who contact us through them.

Chris Lamont

Having previously been a public company Finance Director his Chartered Accountant background and Civil Engineering degree has enabled him to build the websites and to help Lucy structure the teaching manuals to ensure they are as robust and thorough as possible.

Through the process of building the websites and teaching manuals Chris now has a thorough knowledge of teaching handwriting and phonics.
